East Star Building Supply (San Francisco, Fremont) - East Star has been around forever and is one of the premier material supply companies for builders and contractors. The selection at East Star is second to none which means that your options are plentiful but that can also be somewhat overwhelming if you don’t have a game plan going in. Bring your designer and have at it!
TUBZ (Fremont) - Known to have the largest supply of tubs on its showroom floor in all of the Bay Area, Tubz is a must-stop for anyone who is looking to make a smart choice about the perfect tub for their bathroom project. The showroom features all types of bathroom and kitchen beyond just tubs and the Tubz website is a great place for price comparisons and to understand how much certain types of materials cost.
Jack London Kitchen & Bath (Oakland, San Rafael, Redwood City, Walnut Creek) - A go-to finishes and design partner that serves the broader bay area, Jack London is a premier source for luxury kitchen and bath fixtures. They offer a virtual showroom through their website, but otherwise you have to schedule an appointment to get the full experience.
The Plumbery (Dublin, Redwood City) - Features a healthy mix of both American and European brands and known for offering top notch customer service. The Plumbery is a great option if you are located near one of their showrooms in Dublin or Redwood City.
Style Bath & Kitchen (Oakland) - Oakland based Style bath & kitchen takes a designer forward, yet accessible approach to their selection. The husband and wife team of Nuno & Gretchen Ferrerira are a force to be reckoned with and are a safe and reliable pair of hands. If you are looking for a personal touch and easily overwhelmed by the larger showrooms, Style Bath & Kitchen may be a great choice.
Premier Bath & Kitchen (Walnut Creek) - An ideal starting point to game plan the material and finish selection decisions for your remodel, Premier Bath & Kitchen is known to expertly guide clients from inspiration to installation. They have locations across California (and Hawaii!) and are appointment only so carve out some time to drop by.
Townsend Kitchen, Bath, & LED (San Francisco) - Located in the design district in San Francisco, Townsend has become one of the foremost experts for fixture fit and finish. Their showroom is a must stop for any burning questions or guidance and could serve as a valuable resource as you get into the final decision stages of your remodel.
Badeloft (Marin / Sausalito) - Badeloft showcases the best stone resin luxury bathtubs, sinks, and faucet fixtures with modern style & finish. If you are looking to splurge or simply want to level up one aspect of your bathroom design, taking a tour through Badeloft would be well worth your time.
San Francisco Design Center (sfdc) - With over 80 showrooms representing almost 2000 product lines, the SFDC is your local destination for global inspiration. The resources below are some of our favorites, but only represent a small fraction of what’s available at the sfdc:
Artistic Tile - Artistic is a globally recognized tile supplier with select showrooms across the country and a self proclaimed “small, but mighty” space in their San Francisco store. They are known for their award-winning proprietary designs and high quality materials. If you want something that truly feels custom and unique your space, Artistic may be the partner you’re looking for.
Waterworks - Waterworks is a luxury design brand that specializes in the highest end bathroom fittings, fixtures, and accessories. The price point definitely requires a more robust budget, but even a short browsing session at their San Francisco showroom may bring renewed inspiration to your bathroom project.
Ann Sacks - An exclusive collection of finishes and treatments for kitchen, bath, and general living remodel projects. Visit the Ann Sacks showroom at the SFDC to view Ann’s collection as well as other featured designers such as Kelly Wearstler and Robert Kuo
Walker Zanger - A curated compilation of beautifully designed ceramic, glass, natural stone and porcelain tile. Known for their craftsmanship and exceptional service
Country Floors - An institution within the world of high end, bespoke floor design, Country Floors is one of few globally recognized tile material manufacturers. Feel free to stop by their showing at the SFDC and inquire with your designer about access to trade discounts
